Albury Hotel Refurbishment

This refurbishment refreshed guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains with an knife pleat, layered over hotel-grade blockout curtains on durable commercial tracking. The result is darker nights, quieter rooms and a contemporary, luxe look.

The rooms feel almost unrecognisable now and will no doubt attract more bookings and open the possibility of increasing room rates. And best of all, this was all delivered in an active working hotel with with minimal disruption to daily operations.

The Goal

The client wanted to improve sleep quality with true blockout and reduced light bleed while modernising the aesthetic with on-trend sheers and clean lines. They needed to use fire-rated commercial fabrics compliant with Australian standards and to stage installation around occupancy to keep rooms open.

The Solution

We paired airy sheers for daytime softness and privacy with blockout curtains behind for full darkness at night. Mounted on commercial-grade tracking, the curtains glide smoothly with reliable stack-back and even drops. The curtains were installed with manual operation, but we can also install motorised control systems for a truly five-star guest experience! The floor-to-ceiling installation has the benefit of maximising height, reducing light gaps, and it even photographs beautifully for marketing!
